Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
An employee assistance program is an employee benefit and a risk management strategy tailored to help your organization manage the impact of employees’ personal problems in a responsive, sensitive and cost-effective manner. EAPs provide short-term confidential counseling, evaluation and referral services (up to six visits) for a variety of emotional, stress-related, and substance abuse problems. Seven Counties’ EAP programs are staffed by behavioral health professionals with extensive experience in delivering mental health and chemical dependency assessment and intervention services.

The EAP is designed for use by both employees and their dependents, and usually the employer offers the EAP benefit at no cost to employees. While Seven Counties’ tailors each EAP to a company’s needs and desires, our EAPs usually feature these comprehensive services:
  • assessment and referral sessions
  • referral follow-up
  • supervisor training that covers the employer’s EAP policies and procedures, the supervisor’s role, job performance, problem recognition, referral procedures, confidentiality issues and program benefits. Over-the-phone consultation with supervisors also is available when requested.
  • utilization reports that the employer receives on a regular basis that provide statistics on indices such as problem types seen, frequency of referrals, appointments not kept, and levels of employees requiring services. In all cases, the reports maintain employee confidentiality.
  • employee orientation that covers the program’s purpose and benefit, referral procedures, eligibilities and other policies.
  • promotional offerings such as paycheck inserts, newsletters, flyers, and brown bag lunches to help promote the EAP to employees and help provide useful information to them about the latest in mental health wellness and other topics.

We design our EAP package to meet the organization’s needs. A fixed fee arrangement gives an employer EAP services for one low cost, on a per-employee-per-month basis.
Fees: Determined by program design and size of employee base.
