Mental Health Services
As
the regions full-service resource for psychological and psychiatric
services for all ages, Seven Counties focus in the services
described below is on problems successfully treatable in the short
term. Seven Counties offers an array of behavioral outpatient programs
for adults, adolescents and children that help them function independently
at home, work and school. Services include:
- counseling for depression, grief, phobias,
stress and anxiety, parenting issues
- family therapy
- child and adolescent counseling
- management of severe mental disorders
- alcohol and drug abuse education, counseling
and intervention
- specialized case management
- initial services for adult domestic violence victims with no dependent children.
Fee: Accepts Medicaid, Medicare and some
forms of health insurance and third-party payers. Sliding fee scale
based on income.
Eligibility: No restrictions. Accepts adults and children
of all ages.
Referral: Accepts self-referral and referrals from other
health and human service providers. Call (502) 589-1100 for screening

Neighborhood
Place
Seven Counties also provides some services
at Neighborhood Place locations in Jefferson County. Neighborhood
Place is a partnership of agencies, of which Seven Counties
Services is one, that have come together in a community-based
"one-stop" center. The goal of these agencies is
to provide accessible and responsive services that support
the community and the families and individuals who live in

for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
Staff skilled in American sign language provides mental health services
to adult and children who are Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing.

This program provides in-school counseling services
to K-12 students and their parents/guardians to address emotional
and behavioral problems. The goal is to improve school attendance,
social skills, and academic achievement. Services include assessment
and evaluation, including classroom observation; individual, group
and family therapy; referral/access to community resources; consultation
with teachers and students. The program also offers various psycho-educational
programs such as anger management, substance abuse prevention, building
resilient children, trauma and loss, and social skills development.
Optional on-site services also include case coordination with parents,
school staff and other social service agencies; alcohol and drug
prevention/intervention; in-service training for school personnel;
program consultation; and participation in health fairs/school events.
Fee: Accepts Medicaid and some forms of health insurance.
Sliding fee scale based on income.
Eligibility: No restrictions for students enrolled in schools
served by this program in the Jefferson, Henry, Bullitt and Trimble
county school districts.
Referral: Referrals accepted from parents, teachers, school
counselors, and other health and human service providers.
