Seven Counties Services, Inc. Seeks New Board Members

Regional Community Mental Health Center seeks new Board members from Henry, Jefferson, Oldham, and Trimble counties.

Louisville, KY, 02-07-2007 - Seven Counties Services, Inc., the regional community health center for Louisville and surrounding Kentucky counties, is seeking new members for its Board of Directors. Seven Counties is looking to attract community-minded individuals who wish to offer their time and efforts in pursuit of the agency's mission of improving the lives of people at risk for or affected by mental illness, developmental disabilities, addictions, and abuse. Government regulations require that the Board of Directors membership mirrors the demographics of the population served by Seven Counties (gender, race, age, area of interest). Applicants must reside in the service region. Members for Henry, Jefferson, Oldham, and Trimble counties are particularly needed at this time. All applications will be reviewed for possible nomination for election to the Board.

Selected members should be prepared to commit at least eight hours per month to volunteer activities, including attendance at monthly board and committee meetings and community functions. Travel expenses are reimbursed. Persons interested in serving their community through this rewarding volunteer opportunity are asked to call Karen McMillan at the Seven Counties' Corporate Office in Louisville at 502-589-8600, ext. 1196, by e-mail at kmcmillan@sevencounties.org, or write to: Board of Directors, Seven Counties Services, Inc., 101 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd., Louisville, KY 40202-1451.
