Beck, Ph.D from the Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and Jesse
Wright, M.D., Ph.D. from the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral
Sciences, University of Louisville:

This interactive workshop will provide
the essentials of cognitive therapy. Workshop participants will
learn how to view patients according to a cognitive framework; how
to use this framework to plan treatment; and how to explain the
cognitive model to patients. Participants also will learn how to
structure therapy sessions, and how to use standard cognitive and
behavioral strategies. The workshop will benefit nurses, psychologists,
social workers, counselors, marriage and family therapists, art
therapists, mental health professionals, and alcohol and drug counselors.
Presenter Judith S. Beck, Ph.D.,
director of the Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and Research
and clinical associate professor of psychology in psychiatry, University
of Pennsylvania; is co-author of Cognitive Therapy of Personality
Disorders. She also authored the basic textbook Cognitive Therapy:
Basics and Beyond. Dr. Beck is recognized around the world as the
premier voice of cognitive behavior therapy.
Presenter Jesse H. Wright, M.D.,
Ph.D., is chief of adult psychiatry and professor in the Department
of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, University of Louisville;
and medical director, Norton Psychiatric Center. He is co-author
of Getting Your Life Back: The Complete Guide to Recovery from Depression.
Dr. Wright also is the principal author of Good Days Ahead, the
first DVD-ROM interactive computer program for combating depression
and anxiety.

$115 per person. A 10% discount is available for Kentucky Psychological
